Qualifications

The Opportunity

We’re working with a well-established multidisciplinary environmental consultancy that’s continuing to grow its Geo-environmental capability across the UK.

They’re now looking to bring in a Consultant Geo-environmental Engineer to join a collaborative team of Geologists, Engineers and Technicians, supporting the delivery of site investigation and ground engineering projects nationwide.

This is a great opportunity if you enjoy a mix of site work, reporting and technical delivery, while being supported to progress your career in a structured, professional environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll play a hands‑on role in the delivery of geo‑environmental projects, including:

  • Ground investigation works, site monitoring, verification visits, soakaway testing and site walkovers
  • Preparing logs using GINT or similar software
  • Desk studies, data review and interpretative reporting (with senior support)
  • Liaising with clients, principal contractors and utility providers
  • Organising site access, plant and investigation works
  • Supporting Project Managers with technical delivery and site coordination
  • Reviewing monitoring and soakaway results
  • Preparing RAMS (under supervision) and ensuring H&S compliance at all times
About You

This role would suit someone with:

  • A relevant degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology or similar
  • 2+ years’ site investigation experience
  • Experience producing desk study and interpretative reports
  • Familiarity with GIS or environmental modelling tools
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
