Job description

Our Asset Advisory Team is growing rapidly and has a track record of successful project delivery across the Water, Energy, and Infrastructure sectors. We support our clients to help them drive performance and realise financial and social value through their assets management capability.

We achieve the above by working with clients in a collaborative environment to provide strategic, resilient, sustainable, and innovative solutions to their performance issues. We work with client teams and stakeholders to unlock hidden data and provide insight into the performance of their asset base, helping them to work more effectively and make systems based, informed, and timely decisions.

Our continued success in supporting many of the UK’s main utility providers and major infrastructure developers, brings opportunities across the group. As a result, we are looking to appoint a Consultant into our existing teams. This role could be based from any of Stantec’s UK offices with hybrid working allowing for a mix of home- and in-office working.

As a member of our Asset Operations and Maintenance Team, you will typically be involved in developing system-based asset management principles to enable our Delivery Programmes to provide most efficient service-based Outcomes for our clients. You will support clients and colleagues with the development and delivery of programmes, projects, technical outputs, and measurable benefits. The role will involve regular travel to client sites and offices throughout the UK.

An important part of your role will be to identify wider improvement opportunities for clients to reduce risk and/or improve their effectiveness and efficiency. You will also build internal and external relationships to influence client’s strategic thinking and raise the profile of our Asset Advisory group, with the overall aim of building and growing the Stantec business. Senior Consultants will be expected to work alongside industry leaders and help to mentor and guide more junior colleagues.

If you are looking for a chance to drive your career forward within a highly supportive organisation, delivering exceptional solutions for Clients then we want to hear from you. We have opportunities across the UK.

About You

For this Consultant opportunity, you will need to have had prior experience or working within operations and maintenance activities. You will have held roles where you have been involved in improvement or change activities - challenging business outcomes and adding value to clients or other stakeholders.

You will be a strategic thinker and have excellent analytical and conceptual skills.

You should have a strong knowledge of asset management policy/strategy and/or operations and maintenance experience, assessing and managing asset management risks, life-cycle decision-making and developing asset management plans. Above all, you will be inquisitive and keen to challenge the norms.

Ideally you will have experience of working within a regulated sector or within related sectors, e.g. water, energy, buildings/real estate, infrastructure, or facilities management sectors.

Above all, you will be inquisitive and keen to challenge the norms.

This opportunity can be based anywhere in the UK, and we have the infrastructure to provide the flexibility, support, and work life balance that you need. We offer a fantastic range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, Private Medical Insurance, a strong pension scheme and a people orientated company culture. Importantly, we offer you the chance to play a key part in our growing Asset Management Group and the opportunity to take your career to another level.
