Job Title: ConstructionTutor (Trainee or Qualified)

Location: In-person centre based in Wandsworth

Salary: up to £40,000 (Depending on skills and experience + inclusive of location uplift)

Package: Excellent Holiday Entitlement, Pension + more

Type: Full Time, Permanent

Duties:
  • Teach/assess learners working towards vocational qualifications within Multi Skilled Construction (e.g. Painting and Decorating / Brickwork / Plumbing / Carpentry etc.), within a classroom-based environment.
  • Support learners working towards Functional Skills English and Maths up to Level 2.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
  • Ensure sessions are motivating, engaging and develop learners’ skills, knowledge and behaviours.
  • Monitor student attendance and progress through regular student assessment and reviews.
  • Provide advice and guidance to learners relating to decision making and progression.
Criteria:
  • Must hold a recognised qualification within a Construction trade, at Level 3.
  • Must hold solid, occupational experience within Multi-Skilled Construction (e.g. Plastering, Paint, Brickwork).
  • Must hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Functional Skills equivalents.
  • Organisational skills are a must, as well as the ability to plan your time effectively.
  • Confident and professional with the ability to inspire and motivate people.
