Overview

We are seeking Lecturers to teach across a range of undergraduate levels as part of our BSc (Hons) Construction Management programme. The role requires flexibility to teach during weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver, and assess student work ensuring all learning outcomes are met
  • Develop, update, and improve course materials as appropriate
  • Use a variety of learning and teaching methods/materials
  • Actively engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties
  • Understand and keep up to date with latest developments in your field and student support practices
  • Work towards a range of clearly defined objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction and student progression
About you
  • Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable)
  • Have previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter
  • Supervise student work and provide support and feedback
  • Maintain accurate reporting and thorough, organised student records
  • Work under pressure, plan and prioritise own workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team‑working skills
  • Work with diverse groups of people
Desirable qualifications
  • Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during the probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent)
  • Experience of design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent
