We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven Civil Construction Manager to join YTL Construction UK.

As a Construction Manager, you will lead, motivate and inspire your teams to maximise the effectiveness of the Civil area of the business.

What you'll do

You'll focus on short tomedium-term strategies for the construction business whilst ensuring the high standards we expect are maintained.

You'll assist in leading the Operational team to support the successful delivery of outcomes through effective planning, procurement, risk management and communication with senior stakeholders.

You'll work closelywith all relevant business areas to clearly communicate and promote strategies, dependencies and plans for all projects and initiatives under your remit.

On occasion, you may also be responsible for directly leading one or more key initiatives as directed by the YTL Construction UK Management team, ensuring the successful delivery of business and technology outcomes. This may involve working across multiple disciplines and locations outside of your own department.

Other duties will include:

  • taking full responsibility for project direction and quality
  • leading, motivating and empowering your team day-to-day, embedding best behaviours and supporting career development
  • promoting safe working practices and wellbeing initiatives, ensuring compliance with company safety guidelines
  • managing resources effectively and supporting succession planning
  • ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, managing risks and promoting best practice.
What you'll need
  • Extensive leadership experience within civil or construction management.
  • Knowledge of civil construction techniques and relevant qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH in Construction, CITB Site Managers course).
  • Strong strategic planning and operational delivery skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Ability to manage risk and drive successful outcomes across complex projects.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety standards and environmental awareness.
  • BIMACC.
  • Environmental Awareness / E3MP.
  • Power Project and Presentation skills.
