Job Description:

Sellick Partnership is excited to be working with a highly regarded Legal 500 firm who are looking for a Construction Lawyer to join their thriving Construction and Engineering team in Leeds.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on a wide range of high-profile construction and engineering projects across sectors, including energy, infrastructure, transport, utilities, and residential.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating standard form and bespoke construction contracts, including EPC, D&B, and consultancy agreements.
  • Advising a broad client base including government bodies, developers, funders, contractors, sub-contractors, and consultants.
  • Supporting major development and infrastructure projects, often as part of cross-office or cross-border teams.
  • Providing strategic guidance on procurement routes and project structures.
  • Collaborating with internal teams such as Real Estate, Projects and Banking on multidisciplinary transactions.

The successful candidate:

  • Ideally 3 years PQE in Construction Law
  • Experienced in advising on construction contracts and procurement strategies, ideally with exposure to large-scale infrastructure or development projects.
  • Commercially minded with strong technical and drafting skills.
  • A clear and confident communicator with the ability to build client relationships and manage workstreams independently.
