What are we looking for?

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Compliance Officer to provide recruitment compliance support across the organisation. The post holder will manage an individual caseload of compliance files, initiate and oversee compliance checks, and support candidates throughout the process, ensuring a positive and professional experience. The role involves close collaboration with the Recruitment team and the Talent Development team, where appropriate, to deliver a seamless recruitment and compliance journey for each candidate.

What will your duties include?
  • Manage individual work stream of compliance files, achieving completion targets in line with volume workload and target clearance dates
  • Support your candidates through the compliance process, engaging with them to ensure a positive experience, but equally holding the candidate accountable for their necessary actions in the compliance process
  • Liaise with the Recruitment Team where appropriate to manage the candidate's recruitment and compliance journey effectively. Follow process and best practice, ensuring the Recruiter initiates the compliance process and passing cases back to the Recruitment Team where appropriate if they are not ready to be received by Compliance, as per agreed SLA's
  • Issue and chase reference requests, matched to CV history. Provide CV gap analysis where required.
  • Issue and chase DBS checks, ensuring these are submitted in a timely manner to allow for the DBS checking process to complete in good time for target start dates
  • Escalate any compliance issues, concerns or irregularities to the Talent Business Partner in the first instance
What we need from you?
  • School leaver certificate to A-Level standard required
  • Demonstrable track-record of delivering high-volume compliance in a regulated environment strongly preferred
  • Recent experience delivering compliance in an acute healthcare environment, including knowledge of CQC requirements and expected standards of compliance essential
  • Experience of utilising and maintaining an ATS and HRIS, ideally Workday.
  • An interest in HR useful and desirable
