Job summary

A recruitment consultancy in the UK is seeking a Compliance, Independence & Ethics Associate to support its compliance team. A fantastic opportunity to join our client's collaborative and well-structured compliance team, supporting independence, ethics, and financial crime controls. The role provides broad exposure, structured development, and hands-on experience within a regulated environment.

Location
Duties for this role include, but are not limited to:
  • Support the delivery of compliance, independence, and ethics processes across the business.
  • Review, organise, and maintain compliance documentation, communications, and records.
  • Assist with annual reviews and updates of policies and procedures.
  • Monitor shared compliance mailboxes and allocate actions appropriately.
  • Track and allocate mandatory compliance tasks for new joiners.
  • Maintain registers and logs, including breaches and systems access records.
  • Support compliance monitoring activity and prepare reporting outputs.
  • Assist with general administrative support across the risk and compliance teams.
  • Contribute to process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across different locations and teams.
Skills / Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and an interest in compliance, ethics, or risk within a professional or regulated environment. A relevant professional qualification (such as ACCA or ICAEW) and previous compliance experience is beneficial, with further study support available. A proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work confidently with systems and procedures are essential.
