Job summary

A recruitment agency based in Dorking is seeking a Compliance Assistant to support the Quality and Compliance Manager. The role includes tasks such as collating compliance documentation, ensuring technical files are up to date, and testing products. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail and excellent administration skills. Familiarity with Excel and some experience in retail or wholesale is preferred. This role operates Monday to Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

  • Collate and review compliance documentation.
  • Ensure all technical files are up to date.
  • Test products and arrange product trials.
  • Work with suppliers and customers to ensure requirements are met.
  • Update and create accurate product instruction manuals.
  • Organize samples for distribution.
  • Conduct copyright checks before product launch.

Job description

Our great client based in Dorking are seeking a compliance assistant to join their Head Office. You will be required to assist the Quality and Compliance Manager in developing and importing compelling, commercial products and ranges and bring to market in line with business requirements and timelines.

  • Collating and reviewing compliance documentation required for the products.
  • Ensuring all technical files and internal systems are kept up to date.
  • Testing products and arranging product trials for samples across all stages.
  • Working closely with suppliers and trade customers worldwide, building strong relationships and delivering clear communication on requirements needed for each order.
  • Working to ensure all deadlines and shipments are met.
  • Work closely with the design team to update and create clear and accurate product instruction manuals with a strong attention to detail.
  • Approve artwork deadlines are met.
  • Organising samples to suppliers, customers and the warehouse.
  • Assisting with returns analysis, working closely with the warehouse team.
  • Copyright checks – Check for patents before introducing a new product to the market.
  • Any other admin and adhoc tasks.
Essential Requirements for theCompliance Administrator role:
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent administration skills with a proactive approach
  • Motivated and can effectively manage workload with good time management skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and a good working knowledge of other Microsoft applications
  • Previous experience of working in a fast-paced office environment to tight deadlines
Desirable Skills and Experience required for theCompliance Administrator role:
  • Previous experience of working in a retail or wholesale company ideal but not essential
  • Previous experience of product quality control procedures and ethical sourcing
  • Experience of working with overseas suppliers
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator

:8am -4.30pm Mon-Fri 37.5 hrs.
