Job description
Overview

Our busy District Nursing teams in Christchurch are looking for Band 5 community Staff Nurses to join their teams. Applicants can be newly qualified, or experienced, as full training and support will be offered. We are looking for dynamic, motivated individuals who wish to provide high standard nursing care to people in their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high standard nursing care in patients' own homes as part of the district nursing team.
  • Provide wound care, palliative care, IV drug administration, medication/injection administration, diabetes management, and other diverse clinical skills.
  • Work full or part time with weekend, late shifts and bank holiday work pro rata; late shift coverage up to 8pm.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Band 5 community Staff Nurse (RGN) with eligibility to practice; newly qualified and experienced applicants considered.
  • Ability to drive and access to a car.
  • Right to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
  • Enhanced DBS check required (Trust will cover cost). Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service may present a valid DBS certificate instead of a new check.
  • Role is fixed term and, for current NHS staff, offered on a secondment basis; obtain release permission before applying.
Training and Development

With excellent links to local universities, training and development opportunities are offered to enable rapid upskilling and support with new skills. Newly qualified staff will have access to a preceptorship program and a clinical upskilling program to support transition from student to RGN.
