Overview

Position

We are currently seeking a midwife to cover maternity leave in our Folkestone Community Team until February 2027.

Responsibilities
  • Act as an active team member providing the full range of midwifery care.
  • Develop skills to become an advanced midwifery practitioner.
  • Enhance your midwifery role by developing excellent leadership and managerial skills to ensure a dynamic and innovative approach to team building and performance.
  • May be required to change your area on a temporary basis to maintain service provision and develop your practice as required.
  • Join a continuity team to achieve the Trust ambition of implementing Better Births.
  • Develop your competencies as set out in the practice portfolio relating to the knowledge and skills framework for Band 6, with a view to progressing to Band 7.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Full driver's licence and/or access to a vehicle that can be used for work purposes (subject to the provisions of the Equalities Act 2010).
  • Knowledge and experience in midwifery care (Band 6 and above).
  • Willingness to undertake additional training and development as required.
  • Valid throughout the duration of the contract (until February 2027).
