A healthcare organization in Sheffield is looking for a qualified nurse to join their team. This part-time, fixed-term position involves providing intensive support in local communities, conducting assessments, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team. Candidates must have relevant nursing qualifications and experience in mental health. The role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The position is part of an innovative pilot project aiming to integrate mental health care services.
As part of an ongoing pilot project one of the Care Groups previously working at part of the South CMHT has now moved to Newfield Green Clinic. This is part of the move to integrate secondary mental health care and work closer with primary care and the voluntary sector within the Heeley Plus Primary Care Network.
We continue to provide ongoing intensive support in local communities leading to a high quality care standard and currently still operate as a mini team supporting residents within the Gleadless & Heeley areas.
You will be supported with their professional and leadership development through dedicated supervision with a highly experienced and motivated team manager. Learning opportunities will be supported and encouraged. From the multi-disciplinary team, we offer regular CPD sessions and candidates are encouraged to bring their own interests to the team to share and develop their specific interests in mental health. Please note this is a qualified Nursing Vacancy.
Hours: Ideally Mon 9 - 5pm, Thurs 1-4:15pm, Fri 9-5pm but negotiable
You will need to possess excellent communication skills and be able to work independently and as part of the wider team in order to assess, plan and evaluate care. You should have a positive approach to meeting the needs of our service users and be motivated, empowered and enthusiastic to both learn and share.
You will also likely be expected to work as part of the duty system which operates within the general working hours of 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday on a rotational basis. This 'mini team' is supported by other clinical professional and management.
We are passionate about providing the very best care to the people we support, and we're looking for amazing people who share this passion to join us.
What is it that makes our Trust such a special place to work? Well, it's all about the people. Our staff, service users, carers and families all come from such diverse backgrounds and all have expertise and stories to share which we are keen to listen to and learn from.
We are all very proud of the difference we make to people's lives each and every day and if that's something that you'd like to be part of we'd love to hear from you.
We continue to be excited by the opportunities this pilot project brings to further integrate with others and be a service that works as a team to meet the varied needs of the people we have contact with.
