Overview

Whether you're an experienced Registered Nurse or a Newly Registered Nurse, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a service that puts patient care first. Student nurses due to register in the next 3 months are welcome to apply. Full training and preceptorship will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area. This role is within the Scarborough Integrated Community team and focuses on Adult Mental Health.

Responsibilities
  • Provide care to patients presenting with mental health issues, with an emphasis on psychologically informed brief interventions.
  • Hold a caseload of patients, administer depot medications, carry out initial assessments, duty and attend triage.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, carers, families, external agencies and colleagues from a variety of disciplines.
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with partners and stakeholders.
  • Participate in regular supervision and support from a cohesive leadership team.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Registered Nurse – experience or newly registered acceptable.
  • Completed nursing preceptorship.
  • Keen interest in Adult Mental Health.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex individuals in partnership with other agencies.
  • Ability and experience in care coordination and understanding of psychological therapies and psychosocial interventions.
  • Willingness to travel independently across the locality and access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.
Working Hours & Contract
  • Monday – Friday, 9:00 to 17:00.
  • Fixed‑Term post, with possibility of permanent placement if funding permits.

  • UK, Republic of Ireland nationals or those with suitable visa routes (Health and Care Worker, Skilled Worker) are welcome.
  • Suitable hospitality training will be provided while awaiting sponsorship approval.
