Scottish Borders CAMHS aims to deliver person‑centred care based on the GIRFEC principles within our community. As we progress with our service improvement programme, we see these posts as central, offering an exciting opportunity to transform the way we support and care for children/young people and families in the community.
Role: Community Mental Health Nurse – you will work with the members of the multi‑disciplinary team to ensure services are effective, participate in continuous professional development, including in‑house training, and deliver high‑quality person‑centred care. You will lead by example to maintain high standards and improve client care in the specialist CAMHS service. We are looking for two motivated nurses who want to develop their clinical experience and knowledge of children and young people’s mental health.
We provide Tier 3 multidisciplinary and psychological interventions, and Tier 4 intensive community treatment, working closely with the Young People’s Units when hospital admissions are necessary. We foster a period of innovation to make positive changes across the range of CAMHS services and maintain good working relationships with multi‑agency partners.
We seek two highly motivated individuals demonstrating strong leadership and clinical skills to support CAMHS multi‑disciplinary working. Prior experience in community mental health and sound knowledge of current clinical practice is essential. We aim to provide the landscape for development and training in return.
