Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Mental Health Nurse to join our Memory Team in Knaresborough, based at Alexander House. We are looking for a dynamic, positive and forward‑thinking clinician with a passion for caring for people with cognitive impairment, their families and carers, and with a specialist interest in delivering high quality, effective and place‑based Memory Services.

Responsibilities
  • Initial contact to support service users, families and carers in their understanding of the memory pathway.
  • Detailed history using a holistic memory assessment framework, collating all clinically relevant individual service user information and involving families and carers as part of our commitment to co‑creation.
  • Accurate recording and documentation of clinical discussions and assessment details on our clinical system, ensuring all individual service user documentation is up to date and available to inform internal clinical meetings.
Location & Travel

Based in the same office space as the Harrogate Community Mental Health Team for older people, the role requires the ability to travel independently across the locality and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

Development & Support

You will receive regular appraisal, clinical, management and caseload supervision and benefit from the support of an experienced multi‑disciplinary leadership team, including the Team Manager and the Clinical Specialist Nurse / Advanced Nurse Practitioner.

Right to Work in the UK. Full training and preceptorship programme will be provided to help you build confidence and develop your career in this specialist area. Student nurses due to register in the next three months are very welcome to apply.
