A leading dementia support organization in the UK seeks individuals for a community outreach role to help raise awareness of dementia services. You'll build community links and connect people from diverse backgrounds, playing a crucial role in supporting those affected by dementia. Strong communication skills and community knowledge are essential. Flexible hours, working between 1 to 10 hours per month.

We are here for anyone affected by dementia and are keen to reach people in all communities, including those who may be more at risk of isolation through language, accessibility needs, identity or background.
You’ll play a crucial role in building and strengthening community links and raising awareness of the services we have available. You’ll take part in events and talk to groups to raise awareness of dementia and to identify people affected by dementia who can share their dementia story with their wider community as well as with us. You’ll also signpost people to access our services.
This volunteering opportunity takes place in community venues across Herefordshire e.g. community centres, faith centres, libraries, sports venues, retail outlets. Language skills are desirable as connecting people in diverse communities will be a part of this role. The role may involve attending activity groups for people with lived experience of dementia, raising awareness of dementia services in Herefordshire and speaking to a wide range of people from diverse communities. Hours can very between 1 and 10 hours per month.
