An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within Glasgow City HSCP Learning Disability Services for a Band 6 Community Nurse. We are seeking a skilled and motivated professional to join our Multi‑Disciplinary Team, dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of people with learning disabilities. You will bring strong clinical experience along with the knowledge and ability to manage day‑to‑day clinical issues and staff governance. The role requires supporting the operational demands of the service, monitoring and responding to clinical governance matters, and demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and develop staff.

A commitment to person‑centred care and the support of individuals with learning disabilities is essential. You will manage an appropriate caseload, providing expert assessment, diagnosis, evidence‑based treatment, and ongoing management for this specialist group. In addition, you will offer advice and expert opinion to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities, and other healthcare professionals. Working closely with the Nurse Team Leader, you will help deliver safe, effective care that enhances patient experience and aligns with local and national policy objectives. Relevant post‑registration experience is required.
