Job summary

A regional healthcare provider in the UK seeks a Fixed Term Maternity Cover for an Administrative Support role within the Immunisation Service. Qualifications

Fixed Term Maternity Cover – Administrative Support, Immunisation Service

Overview

A vacancy at Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. This role will provide administrative support to the Suffolk and North East Essex Community and School Aged Immunisation Service, supporting a variety of immunisation clinics across the area.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to plan and manage school and clinic vaccination clinics.
  • Travel to community clinics and school sessions across Suffolk and North East Essex.
  • Handle telephone queries and clinic booking requests from a variety of service users.
  • Support clinicians in clinic setting to ensure high‑quality delivery of service.
  • Prioritise administrative work efficiently.
  • Maintain confidentiality of service user information in line with Trust policy.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, manage referrals and update patient records.
  • Participate in the planning and scheduling of clinics, liaising with venues and managing stock levels.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • IT literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Experience of working with a variety of ages and in a health care setting is useful.
  • Experience with SystmOne electronic health records is an advantage.
  • Ability to organise, plan workload and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Full valid driving licence and access to a car for business purposes (unless disability under Equality Act 2010).
