A community health organization in Calow is seeking an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join their nursing team. The role involves assessing and delivering high-quality patient care in community settings, whilst supporting the District Nurse and ensuring patient dignity. Candidates should have NVQ Level 3 in health care and excellent communication skills. A good standard of English and Maths is also necessary. Experience in health and social care is desirable, and access to transport is essential for the role.
This post will involve working within a community nursing team visiting patients within their own homes. The successful applicant will:
Assess, implement and evaluate individualised patient care in the most efficient and clinically effective way whilst maintaining the patient's privacy and dignity.
Provide the delivery of high-quality care and actively support the District Nurse in the management of the health care environment.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare Assistant to join our Eckington and Killamarsh Community Nursing team in the North East Derbyshire locality!
Previous experience of working in health and social care is desirable.

A good standard of English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent) and NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) is required, along with excellent communication skills.
Access to and ability to use transport within the North East Derbyshire locality is essential. You will work as part of a wider integrated team providing holistic care to patients in their own homes and care home settings. Community HCA's carry out a plethora of patient care including wound care, catheter care and administration of injections.
Our purpose is to provide community health services to a patient population of over one million people in Derbyshire and Derby, as part of Joined Up Care Derbyshire.
We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes and, increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.
