Job summary

Band 3 Community Healthcare Assistant vacancy – Poole North District Nursing Service

We are seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with good communication skills and a passion for caring for patients in their own homes. Experience of clinical work in the community is desirable but training will be offered to the successful applicant.

Responsibilities
  • Visit patients in their own homes providing clinical care under the supervision and support of the team.
  • Provide wound care, phlebotomy and other clinical interventions.
  • Complete extended skills training, including insulin administration, other injectables and catheterisation, as part of the in‑house development programme.
  • Work on bank holidays, pro‑rate and provide weekend cover as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Desirable experience of community clinical work.
  • Strong communication skills and passion for patient care.
  • Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check required (cost covered by the Trust).
  • Access to a car with a valid driving licence; must be able to travel using own vehicle on Trust business.
  • Applicants requiring current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are not eligible for this position.
