About the Role

This new post plays a key role in supporting the Parish Council’s vision for an inclusive, connected, and thriving parish. Alongside events, you will drive the Parish Councils communications and engagement work – utilising digital platforms, shaping council publications such as the Parish Magazine and Newsletter, and promoting civic initiatives through networking and partnership working. You will also act as the Parish Council’s representative at meetings with schools, wellbeing groups, and community organisations, supporting residents and local groups in accessing funding opportunities.

Confidence using tools like WordPress, MS365, and social media is important, along with the ability to write clearly and persuasively for different audiences.

  • A clear communicator with strong people skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to balance a variety of tasks.
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends when needed.
  • It’s a bonus if you have knowledge of local government, experience with volunteers, or a qualification in events management.
