Job summary

A sports development organization in Northern Ireland seeks an individual to assist in delivering cricket programmes in schools and the community. Qualifications

THE EMPLOYER IS: NORTH WEST CRICKET UNION

To assist the North West Cricket Development Team in delivering school and community programmes, supporting coaching sessions, and helping grow participation in cricket across the North West.

Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of school and community cricket sessions.
  • Help coordinate equipment, bookings, and resources for programmes.
  • Assist with festivals, tournaments, and events.
  • Promote cricket opportunities to local schools, youth groups, and community partners.
  • Support data collection and reporting for participation numbers.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Interest in sport, physical activity, or community development.
  • Willingness to work with children and young people.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Level 1 Coaching Qualification in any sport.
  • Willing to travel within the North West region.
  • Experience in sports coaching, youth work, or volunteering.
  • Awareness of safeguarding or child protection principles.
  • Level 2 Coaching Qualification any sport.
  • Level 1 Coaching Cricket Qualification.
  • Basic IT skills (Word, Excel, email).
  • UK driving licence and access to own transport.

The Employer is: NORTH WEST CRICKET UNION. JobStart Opportunity - Working Hours Information- Standard Hours: up to 25 hours per week.- Flexible/Reduced Hours: May be available upon approval by a Work Coach.- Additional Hours: The employer may offer extra hours depending on availability. This should be discussed directly with the employer before starting employment. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.

Salary

£7.55 per hour (16-17 years), £10.00 per hour (18-20 years), £12.21 per hour (21+ years).
