Qualifications

Overview

Community Care Assistant, Plymouth

Pay: £13.97 to £19.99 per hour.

Shift patterns: 12:00 - 16:00 Tuesdays, Fridays 18:30 - 00:00

About the role

You will be part of a supportive and rewarding team where your work matters. You will provide person centred care in people\'s homes in Callington and nearby areas, helping people live safely, with dignity and independence.

Community care for a young person with complex needs

This client lives at home with parents and enjoys Disney films, music, and community outings. They have a bright, engaging personality with a love for all things pink and sparkly.

Responsibilities
  • Around-the-clock support with clinical tasks
  • Communication and mobility assistance
  • Regular community access support
  • Respite care for family caregivers

Current support

Primary care from mum with professional respite care several hours weekly.

Qualifications and requirements
  • At least 6 months of paid professional care experience, or personal care experience in the UK.
  • Confidence supporting people with limited mobility.
  • A valid driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • The right to work in the UK.
  • Experience with complex care is preferred, but not essential. Full training is provided.
  • Registration for Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland if applicable, for example SSSC, SCW, NISSC. Not required in England.
  • Ability to understand spoken and written English, to follow care plans and communicate clearly.
