Job description
Overview

Community care for elderly people living within their own homes. Carers visit people 1-4 times a day to support with their everyday routines. Broken down into two shifts of the day: morning and lunch OR tea and bedtime. This includes supporting people with personal care such as washing, showering, dressing and medication administration. Our care teams also visit and support people who have just returned home from hospital, enabling them to regain their skills and mobility once they're home. Trained and experienced care staff visit and deliver care support from property to property for elderly people who live in their own homes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care (washing, showering, dressing) and administer medications as required.
  • Support with daily routines and mobility for adults living in their own homes, including individuals returning home from hospital.
  • Deliver care support on a house-to-house basis, visiting clients in their own homes.
  • Assist with medication administration, food preparation, continence support (including devices such as catheters), washing and dressing, and preparing the day or night for clients.
  • Work on solo visits or with a colleague on double-handed calls, depending on the case.
Requirements
  • Applicants must have experience or relevant transferable skills for this role.
  • Due to the nature of the job being house-to-house, applicants MUST drive with use of their own vehicle.
Shifts and Schedule
  • Shifts available: 6:30am–14:30pm and 15:00pm–22:30pm.
  • Monday - Friday; people require carers every day of the week, so carers are required to work alternating weekends or one day every weekend with allocated days off in the week.
