Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver integrated communications strategies and stakeholder engagement plans.
  • Drive thought leadership initiatives to position the organisation as a leader in its field.
  • Manage budgets and outsourced communications resources effectively.
  • Line manage the Communications and Events Officer and Digital Communications Officer.
  • Lead the planning and delivery of strategic communications, events, and stakeholder engagement across all channels.
  • Develop thought leadership programmes, create compelling content, and manage key relationships with internal teams, external partners, and media.
  • Manage a small team and manage agency resources to ensure impactful campaigns that align with organisational objectives.
Qualifications
  • Proven track record as a Marketing and Communications Manager.
  • Strong experience creating impactful content and engagement activities within a technology-driven environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and deliver high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in engaging senior stakeholders.
  • Degree-level qualification in marketing or equivalent.
  • A collaborative mindset, flexibility, and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
Benefits
  • Annual salary of £64,845 plus a range of benefits including (but not limited to) 36 days annual leave (pro rata'd), private medical insurance, pension and life assurance.
  • Hybrid / flexible working arrangements are on offer. 2 days per week, on-site can be based at either Newport or Bristol.
