We are delighted to be working with one of the most successful engineering firms operating within the Scottish Water Framework. Our client, an internationally recognised and forward-thinking organisation, is expanding their MEICA delivery team in Scotland and is seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join their Glasgow office.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be at the heart of delivering projects that make a real impact. You'll take responsibility for the installation, commissioning, and handover of all MEICA elements across a diverse portfolio of water and wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out on-site commissioning activities across a range of projects.
  • Prepare and deliver commissioning completion reports and project updates.
  • Ensure all commissioning is conducted in full compliance with safety standards.
  • Develop detailed commissioning plans during both pricing and design phases.
  • Produce all required commissioning documentation in a timely manner.
  • Work closely with Scottish Water CSD staff to ensure smooth asset integration.
  • Oversee off-site testing and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Adhere to rigorous change control processes.
  • Share best practices and contribute to team knowledge development.
About You
  • ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in electrical, mechanical, or ICA engineering - or extensive relevant experience.
  • Proven site-based commissioning and installation (M&E) experience, ideally within the Scottish water sector.
  • MEICA-qualified engineer with strong technical knowledge.
  • Working knowledge of Profibus (desirable).
  • Familiarity with WIMES standards and telemetry systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
