Overview

Service Care Legal are working with a well-established regional law firm recruiting a talented Commercial Property Solicitor (c. 3-6 years' PQE) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious lawyer who is ready to manage their own caseload and take the next step towards departmental leadership.

Role

Commercial Property Solicitor

PQE: 3 to 6 years' PQE (can be flexible)

Location: Cambridgeshire

Salary: £45,000 - £75,000 + Bonus

This role will initially be office based with hybrid working available post-probation.

The Opportunity

You will join a respected practice with strong roots in the region, handling a broad range of commercial property work. The successful candidate will initially manage their own matters, with a clear pathway to leading the Commercial Property Department. This makes the role particularly attractive for a self-starter with the drive to combine fee-earning, team-building, and business development responsibilities.

The Role
  • Handling acquisitions and disposals of freehold property
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial leases for both landlords and tenants
  • Advising on lease extensions, renewals, and surrenders
  • Managing the sale and purchase of businesses with property elements
  • Advising on easements and related rights
  • Supporting clients with property investment transactions
  • Preparing and advising on option and overage agreements
  • Negotiating conditional contracts linked to planning permissions
  • Overseeing multi-property and portfolio transactions
About You
  • Qualified Solicitor with approx. 3-6 years' PQE in commercial property
  • Confident managing a varied caseload independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to develop client relationships and grow the team
  • Strong technical knowledge, client care skills, and commercial awareness
