Job Description

We can be flexible on where the role holder is based, within the UK. However, there will be a minimum requirement of 2x days per week in our Milton Keynes office.

bp pulse has established itself as the market leader in electric vehicle charging for over 10 years. Our charging points have been used over 30 million times to enable around 200 million miles of zero tailpipe emission driving. We work with the world's leading vehicle manufacturers, as well as some of the UK's biggest fleets, leasing companies and local authorities.

About the role

The role holder is accountable for charger and site utilisation, owning the achievement of key performance metrics such as sessions per day, kWh per session, Site Score (customer site experience), and overall commercial optimisation of our rapid and ultra-fast EV on-the-go charging network. They will also manage all host engagement and instruct on contract renewals and contract terminations, including those under complex public sector umbrella agreements.

What you will do
  • Own and optimise a portfolio of EV chargers/sites from launch through to in-life commercial success.
  • Drive performance across the set of KPIs listed further below, benchmarking sites against each other.
  • Evaluate performance drivers & act on site-level & charger-level performance data to define & deliver trading interventions that stimulate growth.
  • Monitor competitors' activities to develop actionable insights and actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to drive site/charger performance by pulling value levers
  • Deploy physical propositions and offers developed by the Customer team to the site portfolio, own and manage all publicly available customer-facing information (e.g., photos, reviews, GPS data) to enhance site experience.
  • Manage host relationships, including the instruction on contract renewals, terminations, and charger removals for end-of-life contracts.
  • Navigate complex partner structures, including public sector entities operating under umbrella contracts, ensuring compliance, alignment, and optimisation across varied contractual frameworks.
What you will need to be successful
  • 2+ years in trading, commercial, sales, propositions, or offer management roles.
  • Strong data analysis and Excel proficiency and data-led recommendation capabilities.
  • Proven experience managing complex relationships, strong communication / stakeholder management skills - public sector experience highly beneficial
  • Customer and market understanding of the rapid and ultra-fast EV charging business is desirable.
  • Monitoring performance excellence, skilled at finding the root cause of issues and opportunities, can drive insight from data and connect it to customer behaviours.
  • Experience improving customer journeys to maximise margin and conversion.
  • Experience delivering B2B/B2C propositions.
  • Comfortable operating in dynamic, ambiguous environments.
  • Proven ability to challenge and influence across all organisational levels.
  • Track record of delivering complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.
