Our client is a well-established logistics company providing a diverse range of international shipping services to customers across the globe. Offering cross-trade solutions, they support a UK-based client portfolio that includes both long-standing accounts and new business. As part of the launch of a new division within the Group, they are now looking to appoint a Commercial Manager into a newly created and pivotal role. Working closely with senior management, this position offers the opportunity to shape the commercial direction of the business and develop into a highly influential role within the organisation.

The Role

You will take ownership of all commercial activity, with a focus on driving sales performance, enhancing customer service levels and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the company's sales and marketing strategy
  • Manage and grow the existing customer base, including key accounts
  • Proactively identify, prospect and onboard new customers
  • Handle new sales leads and freight enquiries
  • Maintain and update the CRM system
  • Plan, manage and monitor sales and marketing campaigns, reporting on performance and results
The Candidate
  • Proven commercial and sales background with the ability to work autonomously and deliver against targets
  • Strong negotiation and relationship‑building skills, with experience managing customer accounts
  • Knowledge of shipping or logistics would be advantageous, though not essential
What's on Offer
  • Full‑time, permanent role, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm with one hour for lunch
