Overview
My client who specializes in supplying a wide range of premium brand food concepts and solutions to the foodservice and retail markets in Ireland are currently recruiting for a Commercial Manager to join their team.
This is a full-time, permanent position. Working hours: Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Salary £60,000 per annum.
Job Purpose
The role is to manage the sales and purchasing functions in the business. Reporting to the Managing Director and part of the Senior management team.
Essential Criteria
- 4 years\' experience in a similar role
- Excellent keyboard, numeracy, verbal communication and literacy skills
- Good team player who clearly enjoys contributing to the growth of the business
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement supplier price increases across all customer groups including advising Key customers groups in established process in a timely manner
- Management of All Key customer accounts including negotiated Marketing and LTA rebates and settlement discounts.
- Managing the NSR product database from additions to delists for the benefit of all parties i.e. Supplier, customer, warehouse, van sales
- Achieving NSR Gross margin expectations in key categories and advising on margin opportunities to management and sales
- Management of the Haulage In costs for imported products
- Maximising NSR Revenue opportunities with suppliers from ORD\'s to marketing funds, equipment support, vehicle livery, trade shows, brochures and online advertising
- Minimising stock wastage in conjunction with warehouse and sales
- Ensuring sufficient stock at all times to fulfil demand yet not overstocking risking stock loss.
- Introducing new product ranges to the business that complement existing ranges and challenge new thinking in the business
- Management of All customer pricing, new product listings and de-listings, bar code changes, pack size and price changes both in NSR internal systems and Customer portals e.g. BWG and Musgraves
- Management of Promotional activity from negotiation with Supplier to roll out with customers ensuring all parties completely clear on operation and coverage
- Organising of Customer trade shows both online and events such as CATEX
- Ensuring NSR suppliers comply with all legislative requirements in ability to meet Key customers\' requirements.
- Regular reviews with Keys suppliers and customers identifying opportunities
- Oversea the Commercial team including distributors and sales personnel to achieve company targets
