Commercial Infrastructure Lawyer (Clean Energy) – Senior Associate to Partner Level

A law firm is seeking to expand its Clean Energy team. This opportunity is ideal for a senior lawyer (Senior Associate, Managing Associate, or Partner level) with substantial experience in construction, commercial, or projects law within the clean energy sector. The firm offers a collaborative environment and a strong pipeline of high-profile projects across solar, battery storage, wind, and other renewables.

The Role

The role encompasses a variety of advisory and transactional work, including:

  • Drafting and negotiating Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) supply agreements with major global manufacturers
  • Handling Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contracts and associated project documents
  • Managing long-term service agreements (LTSAs) and operations and maintenance (O&M) arrangements
  • Advising on warranty packages for major clean energy components
  • Providing counsel on acquisitions, disposals, and project development within the clean energy space

Collaboration with colleagues across various legal disciplines, including real estate, corporate, finance, environmental, and planning, is integral to this role. The team includes sector specialists and a dedicated Professional Support Lawyer (PSL) to support knowledge and innovation.

The Ideal Candidate

Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years’ PQE, with a focus on construction, commercial contracts, or projects in the clean energy sector. Experience with energy infrastructure transactions is highly desirable. The firm seeks individuals comfortable navigating complex contracts and stakeholder relationships, who enjoy being at the commercial heart of energy deals.
