Location: Various Sites Across the South of England (Predominantly Local to Portsmouth)
Start Date: Immediate
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 per week
Overtime: Paid at x1.5 (evenings/Saturdays), x2 (Sundays)
Callout: None

About the Role

Our client is currently seeking 3–4 experienced Commercial Gas Engineers to support a growing pipeline of commercial projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a respected firm delivering high-quality mechanical services across the South of England.

The role will primarily involve local work within a daily commutable distance of Portsmouth, though some flexibility to travel and lodge away on occasion is essential due to project requirements.

This is a full-time role with no call-out rota, offering consistent work, good structure, and excellent overtime rates.

Key Responsibilities

* Perform installation, service, and maintenance on commercial gas systems

* Work independently on assigned tasks without the need for supervision

* Adhere to site safety procedures and work in line with MOD site standards

* Support the team in delivering high-quality, efficient project outcomes

What We're Looking For

* Proven experience in commercial gas engineering

* Able to manage tasks without training or oversight

* Willingness to travel occasionally and stay overnight when required

* Must have no criminal record (due to MOD site work and SC clearance process)

* Strong communication and organisational skills

* Flexible, professional, and self-motivated approach
