Overview

Finance Manager – Analysis & Reporting Focus

Location: Portsmouth

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum

Contract: 12 month FTC

The Role
  • Oversee month-end close and reporting deadlines, ensuring accurate and timely outputs
  • Prepare and develop management accounts with an emphasis on actionable insights
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI to support decision-making across the business
  • Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations with a focus on transparency and clarity
  • Partner with operational and senior leadership teams to provide financial analysis, cost challenge, and strategic recommendations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes through robust reporting tools
  • Identify and deliver process improvements, including enhanced reporting capability and automation
  • Contribute to ongoing transformation and growth projects, using financial data to drive business performance
The Ideal Candidate
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA) or strong part-qualified
  • Proven ability in financial analysis, data reporting, and business partnering
  • Skilled in Power BI, Excel, and Sage 50 (or similar systems)
  • Strong communicator, confident in presenting financial insights to senior stakeholders
  • Commercially aware, proactive, and highly analytical, with a continuous improvement mindset
