Commercial Finance Business Partner

Central Manchester - Hybrid

Salary: Up to £55,000

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a market‑leading, service‑based business to appoint a Commercial Finance Business Partner on a permanent, full‑time basis.

This role is designed for a commercially focused finance professional who thrives on partnering closely with Marketing and Product teams, using financial insight to influence decisions around product performance, customer adoption, and lifecycle profitability.

The Opportunity

Sitting at the centre of the business, this role works closely with key internal teams including Sales and Marketing. You'll turn data into insight, support commercial decision‑making, and help shape performance across pricing, planning, and wider strategy.

Rather than a traditional FP&A remit, this role focuses on translating customer, product and commercial data into actionable insight that shapes strategy, investment and go‑to‑market decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to provide financial insight on product performance, customer adoption and lifecycle profitability
  • Analyse and track product and customer profitability, supporting decisions on investment, prioritisation and optimisation
  • Provide commercial insight to support pricing strategy, promotional activity and sales effectiveness
  • Build and maintain financial models to evaluate commercial initiatives, product changes and growth opportunities
  • Use CRM and commercial data to understand customer behaviour, conversion, retention and value
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders through clear, data‑led recommendations
  • Present concise commercial insights to senior stakeholders to support strategic decision‑making
About You
  • Proven experience in a commercial finance or business partnering role, ideally with exposure to Marketing and/or Product teams
  • Strong analytical capability, with the ability to turn complex data into clear commercial insight
  • Experience influencing non-finance stakeholders and shaping decisions through financial understanding
  • Solid understanding of product economics, customer lifecycle, or go‑to‑market activity (rather than pure reporting)
  • Comfortable working with CRM and commercial systems (e.g. HubSpot, Dynamics, Xero or similar)
  • Commercially curious, proactive, and confident operating in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment
