Our client, a well‑established East London law firm, is seeking an exceptional Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor to join their expanding property team.

Role Specifics

Commercial Conveyancing Solicitor – Diverse & challenging caseload

  • Represent landlords with substantial portfolios and SME tenants
  • Lead site acquisitions, disposals and complex development transactions
  • Navigate sophisticated refinancing and lending arrangements
Key Responsibilities
  • Landlord & Tenant Work:
    • Act for landlords with large property portfolios
    • Represent small to medium‑sized local business tenants
    • Grant leases, including drafting of commercial leases, rent deposit deeds, licences to alter, agreements for lease variations
  • Development Work:
    • Act for developers on strategic site acquisitions and disposals
    • Prepare detailed title reports and conditional purchase agreements
    • Handle complex development structures: options, land promotion agreements, overage, joint venture agreements, grants of easements, reliance letters, collateral warranties, flat sales at completed developments
  • Finance Work:
    • Represent developers and lenders on refinancing arrangements
    • Review facility agreements and finance documentation: legal charges, debentures, duty of care deeds, subordination, priority deeds, certificates of title (City of London Law Society form), broker reliance letters, corporate minute resolutions and certificates
Essential Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor with a current practising certificate
  • Proven commercial property conveyancing experience
  • Strong track record in landlord & tenant, development and finance transactions
  • Exceptional attention to detail; logical thinking and proactive problem‑solving
  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills
  • Strong personality fitting a collaborative, humorous, team‑oriented, resilient and adaptable environment
