Job description

G-TEKT's Advanced Commercial Apprenticeship is a comprehensive training program designed to qualify you in all commercial aspects of our business. The apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with academic business studies at a local college. During the program, you will develop skills in the following areas:

Job Role
  1. Develop a skill set through coaching and on-the-job instruction
  2. Progress to working in a small team and independently
  3. Gain experience in all departments, with a focus on Logistics
  4. Receipt and processing of customer schedules
  5. Setting and managing key planning parameters
  6. Compiling production schedules and plans
  7. Processing and analyzing production data
  8. Maintaining packaging controls
  9. Procurement of parts from the supply base
  10. Customer contact and support
Skill Development
  • Master concepts of part master, product structures, and routings
  • Implement and understand departmental procedures
  • Develop production and supplier schedules
  • Understand all aspects of inventory control
  • Produce customer manifests and part labels
  • Support customer demands regarding part ordering, packaging, labeling, and collection frequencies
  • Gain knowledge of plant logistics and support departments
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
