What does the role look like?

We're recruiting for an exciting, newly created Commercial Analyst role within the Actuation Systems team. This position will act as a key financial point of contact to support the delivery of our strategic plan through the provision of high-quality data analysis and interpretation.

We're open to background & industry but looking for someone who is data driven but commercially focused. You will be a key member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT), where you'll work collaboratively across Actuation sites in France, Italy, and the UK, helping to shape future business direction as we embark on future growth.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?
  • Work collaboratively with Business Development, Strategy, and FP&A teams to support the delivery of our strategic plan.
  • Work with the business to both understand and challenge financial risks and opportunities.
  • Develop and report key metrics that support Business Development objectives.
  • Support long-term strategic planning activities for Actuation sites.
  • Deliver business cases and proposals for the Actuation business - on time and in full.
  • Provide support for both military and civil bids and proposals where required.
  • Help develop a robust governance process for bids and proposals, ensuring management system compliance.
  • Build business cases to support strategic investments and Actuation-wide central projects.
  • Ensure full compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP, Sarbanes‑Oxley, and international accounting standards.
  • Ensure military models are built in a manner that is compliant to government legislation.
  • Working to deliver against continuous improvement targets.

  • Excellent IT skills across MS products, with a focus on MS Excel.
  • Detailed analytical skills with experience managing and interpreting large, complex data sets.
  • Proven ability to take complicated data sets and manipulate to produce information that supports sound business decision making.
  • Commercial mindset with an understanding of business cases / investment appraisal.
Desirable skills
  • Experience working in a commercial environment, contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Track record of continuous improvement and process enhancement.
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills with the ability to win trust across all levels of the business.
  • Experience working across multiple geographies, with cultural awareness.
