A Teesside based chemical manufacturer is seeking a COMAH Safety Specialist on a 12-month Fixed Term Contract. Jackson Hogg have partnered with a Teesside based chemical manufacturer on a COMAH Safety Specialist position on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract.

The COMAH Safety Specialist will support the development and submission of the business' five year COMAH Safety Report.

This is an initial 12 month FTC which may be extended due to business needs, providing technical and regulatory support to ensure the Safety Report meets COMAH Regulations and Competent Authority (CA) Expectations.

COMAH Safety Specialist Requirements
  • Proven experience authoring and/or contributing to COMAH Safety Reports (Top-Tier preferred)
  • Strong understanding of Competent Authority requirements, including HSE/EA expectations
  • Experience working with high-hazard chemical or process industries
  • Ability to work collaboratively with site teams and technical specialists
  • Strong written, analytical, and regulatory interpretation skills
Role Overview
  • Support the structured development, review, and update of the COMAH Safety Report
  • Provide assurance that content aligns with regulatory guidance and CA expectations
  • Support gap analysis, action tracking, and readiness for submission
