Location: High Wycombe

Hours: Days-based, Monday–Friday Flexible hours between 7.30 and 5pm (4pm Friday) Overtime paid at X 1.5

Holiday: 25 days + bank holidays

WF Tech are recruiting for a long-established precision engineering company that specialises in high-tolerance components for F1, motorsport and high-performance engineering sectors. As their project portfolio continues to expand, they are investing heavily in machining capability and growing their team. With a young, ambitious workforce and exciting development plans, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced CNC Turner to take ownership of a key area within the business.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced CNC Turner who is ready to take control of and develop a dedicated CNC turning cell. This role offers a high level of autonomy and responsibility, ideal for someone who enjoys leading their own processes and helping shape a modern, growing machining department.

Working with Doosan lathes with live tooling and Fanuc controls, you will manufacture complex, close-tolerance components for F1 and motorsport applications. You will be responsible for setting, programming and operating machines, ensuring accuracy and quality throughout production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set, program and operate CNC turning centres (Doosan with Fanuc controls).
  • Manufacture high-precision, tight-tolerance components for F1 and motorsport industries.
  • Take full ownership of a CNC turning cell, including tooling, workflow and process improvements.
  • Support new project development in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
  • Carry out quality checks using standard inspection equipment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and best manufacturing practices.
  • Maintain an organised, clean and safe working area.
About You
  • Experienced CNC Turner with strong setting, operating and programming skills (Fanuc essential).
  • Confident with live tooling and multi-axis turning operations.
  • Background in close-tolerance machining (motorsport, F1, aerospace or high-precision engineering).
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of a machining zone.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Positive, proactive and keen to be part of a growing, dynamic team.
