Job summary

A precision engineering company based in Verwood, England, is seeking an experienced CNC Turner. This position offers up to £23/hr plus a 33% night shift allowance and the flexibility of day or night shifts. The candidate should have at least 5 years of aerospace experience and a strong ability to work independently. Responsibilities

  • Programming and editing NC programmes to meet specifications.
  • Setting and running CNC turning centers for production.
  • Maintaining quality and operational efficiency records.
  • Preventing foreign object debris contamination.
  • Creating and updating setup sheets for CNC machines.

Skills

Strong organisational skills
Attention to detail
Ability to work unsupervised
Familiarity with FANUC controls
Familiarity with Mazak controls

Education

CNC Turner | Verwood, Dorset | Up to £23/hr + 33% shift allowance (night shift)

Day shift hours:
  • Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30
  • Friday 07:30-12:30
Night shift hours:
  • Monday to Thursday 15:30-01:45

(Shift allowance: +33%)

  • Producing parts to drawing specifications
  • Completing quality and OEE records
  • Preventing FOD contamination
  • Creating and updating setup sheets
As CNC Turner, your experience will include:
  • Time-served apprenticeship
  • Minimum 5 years' aerospace experience
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with FANUC and Mazak controls
  • Experience in a busy sub‑contract machine shop
