Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Set and operate CNC lathes to manufacture components to exact specifications
  • Interpret engineering drawings and machine programs (ISO and conversational)
  • Conduct first-off inspections to ensure product quality
  • Adjust offsets and tool coordinates to maintain precision
  • Perform preventive maintenance to keep machinery in optimal condition
  • Rotate between machines when required, supporting wider production
  • Ensure on-time delivery and maintain high standards throughout production
Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements
  • Proven experience working with CNC machinery
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
  • Familiarity with various machine control systems
  • Ability to predict and prevent machining issues during production
  • Detail-focused with a commitment to accuracy and quality
  • Comfortable working to production deadlines without compromising standards
  • IT skills including basic knowledge of Windows and MS Office
  • Completion of a relevant craft apprenticeship and at least 5 years' machining experience
  • Further education or certification in an engineering/manufacturing field
