Job summary

A precision engineering company in Hope Green seeks a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) for a full-time position. The ideal candidate will have experience with HAAS VMC milling machines, including setting up, selecting tools, and optimizing cutting parameters. This permanent role offers an hourly rate between £16 and £18, depending on experience. Working hours are Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 5 PM and Friday from 8 AM to 2:30 PM.

Job description

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a precision engineering company, who are based in Poynton, Stockport. Due to growth, they are on the hunt for a CNC Miller (Setter/Operator) to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Our client are a family-owned UK business founded in the early 1980s. Based near Manchester - the company has evolved to become a recognized leader in the design and manufacture of high‑precision processing equipment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Setting up and operating a range of 3 and 3+1-axis HAAS VMC milling machines.
• Select tools, set up fixtures, and optimize cutting parameters.
• Editing written programs (if possible).
• Adjusting speeds and feeds.

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 AM until 17:00 PM) and Friday (08:00 AM until 14:30 PM)

Hourly Rate: Between £16 - 18 per hour (dependent on experience).
