Responsibilities

• Carry out Total Preventative Maintenance on machines.

• Diagnose faults and liaise with suppliers.

Skills

Certified to IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Forklift licence holder

Overview

Maintenance Engineer — Salary: £19.75 - £21.50 per hour. Location: 10-minute drive from Uxbridge (40 minutes via public transport). Hours: Mon–Thu 08:00–17:00; Fri 08:00–12:00 (37 hours per week). Start Date: ASAP. Type: Permanent.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) on machines and production equipment
• Repairing equipment and replacing worn parts and wiring to manufacturer specifications
• Diagnosing faults and liaising with external suppliers when required
• Maintaining machine uptime and supporting production with minimal disruption

Qualifications

• Certified to IEE 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• Forklift licence holder
• Hands-on experience repairing and maintaining CNC machine tools (4- and 5-axis)
• Skilled in using hand tools and test equipment
• Minimum Grade C / 4 in GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent)
• Experience maintaining at least one of these CNC machines: DMG Mori 3, 4 and 5 axis; Star sliding head lathes; Hurco milling/turning machines; XYZ Lathes
