Job description

Orchard Professional Solutions Ltd are working with experienced companies based in the Hull area. Our clients are looking for an experienced CNC operator/Milling.

Requirements

• Working as part of a team on the weekly Production and Machine Shop plans to complete the following tasks:
• Cuts and shapes metals using a variety of Hurco CNC milling machines, including mills, drills, and cutters.
• Interpreting instructions and procedures to Interpreting instructions and procedures to machine and manufacture required parts.
• Performing proper set‑up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories.
• Completing machine warm‑up.
• Inspection of parts left within the machine.
• Maintenance and pre‑start checks.
• Completion of agreed tasks in line with the weekly plan up to and including “lights out.
• Checking first off on floor.

The person

• Maintaining your equipment, materials and work area, ensuring it is always clean, safe and organised.
• Completing required paperwork and updating data systems to provide accurate records of completed tasks.
• Completing required training and applying learning and competency back into the job role.
• Driving a continuous improvement ethos through own actions and contributions, maintaining and improving service delivery.
• Working with and supporting other team members and deputising if required.
• Positively presenting the role of CNC Operator, completing required training activities to meet job role and business requirements and personal competency.
• MUST be able to program and set controls or machines (Hurco).
• You will also need to be able to programme to write at an interview. (small skill test)
• Engineering background Steels/metals.
