Overview

Glynde Ward is a busy, acute 30 bedded Ward Acute General Medicine. We have an excellent multidisciplinary team approach and work with an exceptional, extended team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide delegated clinical procedures such as insertion/removal of cannula, venepuncture, wound assessment and simple dressings.
  • Removal of urinary catheter.
  • Training will be provided.
Qualifications
  • Hospital experience is desirable but not essential.
  • A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in health and social care or the equivalent role.
Induction and Development

Successful applicants will be required to complete an Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training, to join our team. You will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff.

Teamwork and Skills

You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative with effective interpersonal and communication skills, and contribute fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. Team working is an integral part of this unit with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patient.
