Overview

We are looking to recruit a Clinical Support Assistant within the Children's Learning Disability and Behaviour Support Service across North Cumbria. We are looking for a highly motivated, inspirational candidate who is committed to delivering a high-quality service. They will have skills and knowledge in working with children with a learning disability, Positive Behaviour Support, Autism, anxiety and mental health difficulties. They will have excellent communication skills and good interpersonal skills as the service works collaboratively with other health partners and the third sector to deliver the care to our families. They will be able to demonstrate their personal alignment with the Trust Values. If you are passionate about improving the lives of children with a learning disability and /or autism, and their families we look forward to hearing from you.

Responsibilities
  • Support children with a learning disability and/or Autism and their families across the Early Intervention, Learning Disability and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) pathways.
  • Facilitate parent workshops as an integral part of service delivery within the PBS framework to increase quality of life outcomes and reduce behaviours which may challenge.
  • Work under the direct supervision of the team within the Community Setting.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Highly motivated and compassionate with a commitment to delivering high-quality care.
  • Experience or knowledge in working with children with learning disabilities, PBS, Autism, anxiety and mental health difficulties.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with health partners and third sector organisations.
