Job summary

A healthcare organization in Greater London is seeking a qualified clinical psychologist to minimize the risk of future breakdowns and enhance the quality of life for individuals experiencing psychosis. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with service users and their families, adhering to NICE guidelines, while receiving specialist support from senior psychologists. Required qualifications include a postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology and registered with HCPC, along with relevant post-qualification training and experience in psychological assessment and treatment.

Qualifications

  • Post graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology.
  • Registered with HCPC.
  • Post qualification training in CBTp, FI/ family or systemic therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Minimise risk of future breakdowns and maximise quality of life for individuals.
  • Work in partnership with service users and local community groups.
  • Provide support in line with NICE guidelines for psychosis.

Skills

Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology
Evidence of CPD as recommended by the BPS
Awareness of potential impact of discrimination and disadvantage on mental health
Competence in basic IT systems including keyboard skills
Knowledge of at least two specialised psychological therapies

Education

Post graduate doctorate in clinical or counselling psychology
Registered with HCPC
Post qualification training in CBTp, FI/ family or systemic therapy
