Job description
Overview

You will be supported by a consultant clinical psychologist, and there can be formalised training opportunities for the successful candidate such as structured clinical management. We particularly welcome those interested in supporting the teams to mobilise a complex emotional needs pathway for adults, or those with a flair for working with individuals with complex emotional needs/trauma.

Responsibilities
  • Accountable for own professional practice in the delivery of specialist care to clients with complex emotional or mental health needs.
  • To provide psychological assessment and formulation of clients with highly complex conditions based on the appropriate use, interpretation, and integration of data from a variety of sources.
  • To provide (where appropriate) clinical supervision and training to colleagues within the designated psychology service and to other members of the multidisciplinary team.
  • To be compassionate in meeting the needs of clients, their carers and families.
  • (Where appropriate) to undertake formal research / service evaluations and, where suitably trained, to act as field supervisor for doctorate clinical psychology trainees.
  • To be pro-active in continual service improvement.
  • To promote, at all times, a positive image of people with mental health difficulties, of the adult and psychology services and the wider Trust.
