A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a motivated Senior Clinical Physiologist for a fixed-term maternity cover role. This hybrid position involves working between lung function labs and community respiratory clinics. Key responsibilities include performing complex lung function tests, providing clinical leadership, and supporting the development of the service. Candidates should possess a BSc in Healthcare Science (respiratory) and prior lung function testing experience. Join a diverse team and enjoy excellent benefits, including career development and flexible working.
The respiratory physiology service has an opportunity to appoint a motivated, enthusiastic individual to the role of Senior Clinical Physiologist for a fixed‑term maternity cover post. This is a hybrid role, working between the lung function labs and the integrated care service, where you will support the community respiratory clinics. We are a busy, friendly, multidisciplinary team including physiologists, clinical scientists, administrators and consultants. In lung function the post‑holder will perform a range of standard and complex lung function tests. As part of the cross‑site rota, there will be the opportunity to work in the Sleep Centre at Charing Cross Hospital to develop, or maintain skills in respiratory polygraphy analysis and CPAP compliance clinics. We also host PTP and STP students, so there is the opportunity to be involved in teaching. In the integrated care role you will support the community teams with ARTP accreditation and portfolios. The postholder will be required to proactively contribute to the wider development of the service, coordinating delivery of the community spirometry clinics and developing the diagnostic hubs.
It is essential for the successful applicant to have had previous experience in lung function testing, with a good science background and a BSc in Healthcare Science (respiratory major) or equivalent. Desirable to have obtained the ARTP practitioner examination and to be working towards AHCS equivalence.
