Job description
A Vacancy at Northern Lincolnshire & Goole NHS Foundation Trust

This is a dynamic role that will allow successful applicant to strengthen their clinical knowledge and expertise, whilst also enhancing their consultation and assessment skills. Additionally you will also be able to develop your negotiation, influencing, leadership and management skills.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Counsel patients and carers to ensure that they have the correct information and understanding to make informed decisions about their pharmaceutical care and to take their medication in a way the give most benefit.
  • Support and supervise (as part of a multidisciplinary team) in the development and implementation of local guidelines and policies within assigned clinical area.
  • Support coaching, mentoring of undergraduates, trainee pharmacists and technicians.
  • Undertake /assist in all pharmaceutical aspects of research.
  • Contribute with clinical audits and support with the implementation of recommendations within area of clinical rotation.
  • Utilise prescribing skills effectively to enhance patient care and patient safety or be willing to undertake the prescribing course.

Additional information:

You will be supported through a 4-week structured induction process. Applicants from community will have a 3-month supported induction process. You will be expected to fulfil 1 in 6 weeks weekend working and oncall duties.
